Hello, and welcome to my little corner of the digital world!
Every story has a beginning. Mine started back in 1990, under the brilliant blue skies and lush green landscapes of Muğla, the pearl of the Aegean in Turkey. Perhaps it was the richness of that land and its history, but the first seeds of my endless curiosity and desire to learn were sown right there. Like any child growing up with the whispers of ancient cities and in the shade of olive trees, I always wondered what lay just beyond the next hill.
As time went on, life led me down different paths, and I didn’t walk them alone. I built my own small family with my wonderful wife, who brings so much meaning to my life, and we have a sweet child who has brightened our world. Now, all my adventures have a little partner in crime!
My professional life began in 2013, right after graduating from university, when I found myself in the corporate world of Ziraat Bankası, one of Turkey’s most established institutions. The years spent in the orderly flow of numbers, targets, and plans taught me discipline, responsibility, and the importance of financial literacy. But that curious child inside me never went silent. I saw weekends and holidays as opportunities to step outside of that structured world.
It was in those moments of escape that my greatest passions came to life. Sometimes I find myself experiencing the incredible freedom of gliding down snowy mountain peaks on a snowboard or skis, and other times I lose myself in the silence of a completely different world by diving beneath the water’s surface. The satisfying sound of a tennis racket hitting the ball is also one of my essentials.
At the same time, my traveling spirit never left my side. I grabbed my camera and started chasing after countless ancient cities and historical sites, beginning with the backstreets of Muğla. I fell in love with the magic of freezing a moment in time, of immortalizing a landscape through my own eyes, and turning these into short video stories. Every documentary I watched fueled this passion further, and every film scene I saw became a source of inspiration for my own shots.
And now… it’s time to turn a new page in my life. Alongside my corporate identity, I’m adding new ones that elevate my passions to a more conscious level. The fact that I’m currently studying in two different fields at the Open Education Faculty is the biggest proof of this: Visual Communication Design and Exercise and Sport Sciences. Yes, they might sound a bit different from each other, but to me, they are all parts of the same whole. Through one, I’m learning the techniques to capture the beauty I see with an aesthetic eye; through the other, I’m understanding the perfect mechanics of movement and the human body.
This blog will be the place where all these different worlds converge. Here, you might find me sharing what I’ve learned about personal development and finance, photos from a travel route, or my experiences trying a new sport. I also want to share the impact a film left on me or a surprising fact I learned from a documentary.
This is the story of a husband and father, born in Muğla in 1990, who works at a bank, and is constantly learning, traveling, creating, and experimenting. I would be thrilled to have you join me on this journey.
